That Movie Podcast’s Jason and Matt drop by The Trap for an epic beatbox battle for the ages. Unfortunately any and all audio was lost in last week’s disastrous, fault-splitting, “Did you feel that?” earthquake. The world is safe for now. In the aftermath of earthquake-mageddon, as you wipe up that spilled coffee, listen as TMP share with us the good, the bad, and the Wes Anderson of their first year as a podcast. Then we all throw our nerd cred out the window and share our guilty pleasure movies.

That Movie Podcast can be found at McButtstuff.com or at thatmoviepod.blogspot.com for all you prudes.

Zoolander No. 2 can wait for Tightwad Tuesdays at the local cinema and Nicolas Sparks can go get funding for his eighth mansion built on tired formulaic hack writing from the suckers with no imagination. Over Valentine’s weekend we got a major HEART-on for DP. Grab some chimichangas and your favorite unicorn plush and join us in the pillow talk about the Merc with the Mouth.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven has inducted a new member. While Bowie’s in space, the gang contemplate the Starman’s parting album and the impact he had on the lives of others and how Major Tom would want us, the fans, to pick up where he left off. Sophie plants a northworthy idea in Clown’s head while the Trap Queen shines a spotlight on the comic Union Jack and Spiderpool. Kimi defends her choice to kill The Doctor in Lego Dimensions and why Jack Skellington must scare and Hulk must Smash in Disney Infinity. Clown, Poopy, and Senchichi take a look at Star Trek through the decades as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Welcome to 2016! We survived our battle with the holidays and share what we look forward to in the coming year in the realms of music, movies, TV, comics, and games.

On a high note, local band Stoneshiver has revealed new songs and intends to go into the studio this February after the band’s eight year hiatus.

On a somber note, at the time of recording we were anticipating David Bowie’s new album and wishing him a happy birthday. Little did we know he would pass away two days later. RIP Major Tom.

Nothing was the same after the great convention beast of 2015 was defeated. Funko Pops had to be bought at full price. Walking around the streets in a screen accurate Deadpool cosplay was the fastest way to get the paddy wagon called on you…again. What’s a nerd to do?

They seek to stoke the fires in their spirits so they may return home with glorious light to aid those who dwell in darkness.
